About Michelle Andreassen
Spiritual Mentor, Psychic Medium Healer, Channeler, and Uplift Founder.
Hi!
My name is Michelle Andreassen and this is how I came to do what I do.
My journey from being deeply rooted in logic, research and common sense to feeling at home in a new reality in touch with energies, spirit guides and angels has been long and convoluted, but that’s how the best journeys are sometimes.
iFor most of my life, I trusted what I could research, analyse and explain.
I enjoyed taking something complicated, finding the underlying structure and helping another person understand it in a way that worked for them.
At the time, I had no idea how relevant that would eventually become.
I have worked in many areas that may seem unrelated; customer service, interpretation, user-centered design, gamification, programming, teaching, concept development, coaching – but looking back it all makes perfect sense for the knowledge and understanding needed for where I am going.
Today, I mentor psychics, mediums, healers, intuitives and other spiritual practitioners. My work is still about recognising patterns, asking better questions and translating difficult information into something useful.
The subject matter has simply become considerably less conventional.
Logic did not disappear when spirituality arrived
I did not grow up thinking that I would become a channeler, psychic, healer or medium. I was deeply rooted in logic, research and common sense. When I began exploring healing and clairvoyance seriously in 2018, I approached much of it with curiosity and a healthy amount of scepticism.
That need for discernment has never left me. Nor would I want it to.
I believe spiritual practitioners need more than trust. We also need curiosity, self-awareness, ethical responsibility and the willingness to question our own interpretations.
Leaving the identity I knew
In 2019, I realised how much of my identity had been built around my work and my need to be recognised as intelligent and capable.
I had spent years developing a professional life I could explain. Teaching programming and digital subjects made sense to other people. It came with recognisable skills, qualifications and results.
My spiritual experiences did not fit into that world quite so easily.
At the beginning of 2020, I left my position as a lecturer without a finished plan for what would replace it. I travelled to India to practise yoga and meditation and to experience myself outside the professional identity I had depended on for so long.
Then the pandemic arrived in the middle of that journey.
Suddenly, this was no longer an interesting pause before returning to normal. I had to decide what I genuinely wanted to devote my life to.
The answer led me further into personal development, coaching, healing, clairvoyance and spiritual practice. I trained, experimented, worked with clients and continued to question what I experienced. Gradually, the part of me I had worried would cost me professional credibility became the centre of my professional life.
The medium who was afraid of ghosts
Mediumship took a little longer.
My spirit guides had encouraged me for years to open more fully to spirit communication, but I had one fairly significant hesitation: I was afraid of seeing ghosts.
In the spring of 2025, I finally stopped negotiating and attended Pure Mediumship at Arthur Findlay College in England.
I loved it.
Experiencing the personality, love, interests and memories of people in spirit changed the way I understood mediumship. It was not about performing or producing a rapid succession of facts. It was about relationship: becoming curious about the person in spirit, allowing their presence to become clearer and communicating something meaningful to the person receiving it.
That realisation now forms an important part of how I help developing mediums.
Stepping into mentorship
Spiritual Practitioner Mentor is a relatively new professional title for me, but the work behind it is not new.
I began by counselling students who needed individual support. I later trained and worked as a coach using approaches including NLP, shadow work, value clarification and life design. With a myriad of courses and workshop in all things spiritual, I gradually became a psychic coach, healer and medium.
Across these different roles, I kept returning to the same fundamental work:
Helping someone recognise what they could not yet see clearly for themselves.
I initially questioned whether I was qualified to mentor practitioners who might have more experience than I had in their particular modality.
My spirit guides challenged that assumption.
They reminded me that my role is not to know more about every spiritual method. My strength lies in seeing the larger pattern, identifying where something is being limited and helping the practitioner understand how their abilities work through them.
I also do not experience myself as working alone.
I work in collaboration with a spiritual team that includes guides, ascended masters, angels and other spiritual teachers. At times, I receive guidance about a practitioner’s gifts, methods, blockages or next stage of development that I could not have reached through my own knowledge alone.
I do not expect someone to accept guidance simply because I say it came from spirit. We explore it together, relate it to their experience and translate it into practical changes or experiments.
Channelled guidance should deepen discernment, not replace it.
